Heres how
Beat
the
Track
works:
B to run short races at their local track (playground or park) once each month and compare their times in each race to their Personal Best Performance in the previous month(s). If they run faster in the current month than they did in their previous Personal Best Performance, they Beat the Track.
In Beat the Track, kids run with other kids their own age. However, improving their own Personal Best Performance is the only thing that matters.
Beat the Track also helps parents monitor their childs P.L.A.Y. (Progress in Level of Activity Year-round). ____________________________________________
Beat the Track - At School
Heres how it works : Your student will get to run a short race at schoolthat will be timed using a Fully-automatic (electronic) Timing System. Your student will then be timed again in the same race in approximately one month. If the time is faster in that same race next month than it was the previous month - your student has Beat the Track !
Your child might not be the fastest student at his/her school. But, your child can Beat the Track this school year as many times (or more) than any other student.

Beat the Track - After School - Relay Team Competition -
Students will also have an opportunity to play Beat the Track - After School once each month, which is even more -FUN- because they can form their own relay teams - and try to Beat the Track - as a TEAM! Beat the Track - After School is primarily Relay Team Competition.
In Beat the Track - After School, each relay team runs with other teams that are in the same age group. However, improving their own team's Personal Best Team Performance is the only thing that matters.
Student must be a member of a YES - Running Team in order to participate in Beat the Track - After School.
Beat the Track is hosted by our local AAU Track Club and is an off-seasonprogram for our club members and guests who are being invited to join. If you decide to participate in our FUN club activities on a regular basis (such as Beat the Track-Agility Relays), you'll need to join AAU each year. AAU Memberships are only $12/year. (The AAU membership year starts at the beginning of each school year and is good through the following summer.)
